Agency BBDO had a clear insight: a furry monster that appears in the daily lives of families to torment them when they are short on time. The problem was that designing, animating, and rendering a highly specific, hairy 3D character in just over a week was a near-impossible task. The ultimate challenge was creating this complex creature and seamlessly integrating it into the live-action spot filmed by CUECA under extreme deadline constraints.
We fused cutting-edge technologies to bypass the traditional 3D pipeline and make the impossible possible. By leveraging Generative AI for the character's design and animation based on on-set references, we accelerated the process exponentially. We then performed meticulous rotoscoping and VFX replacement, smoothly integrating the AI-generated monster into the live footage while preserving the authenticity of the original shoot.
The final piece was a flawless, highly engaging spot that resonated strongly with audiences and was delivered in an unbeatable timeframe. By seamlessly blending AI, VFX, and post-production, we proved that innovative technological integration can conquer the tightest of deadlines without sacrificing visual impact.
