The challenge was to translate an abstract and annoying concept like "excessive roaming charges" into a physical, charismatic, and deceptive character. We had to create the "Roaming Killer"—a money-eating creature that needed to feel organically integrated into the real world. The technical challenge was ensuring this character interacted naturally with the actors in a filmed environment, maintaining a balance between a fun design and a clear visual threat.
We led the full creative process of the character: from the initial design sketches and concept art to 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging. We provided on-set VFX supervision alongside Nico Stein and Roommates to ensure that lighting and tracking data allowed for a perfect integration in post-production. The result is a hybrid workflow where 3D animation and live-action converge to bring a fun and technologically flawless narrative to life.
The campaign achieved an immediate visual impact, giving a memorable face to a common problem for travelers across Latin America. Thanks to the personality of the character developed by FEELS, Airalo’s message of savings became highly digestible and viral. The result was a high-energy piece that successfully positioned the eSIM service as the hero coming to rescue the users' wallets.
